I am a Lecturer in Computer Science at King’s College London. My current research focuses on the definition, implementation and evaluation of methods for explainable AI, particularly those which utilise computational argumentation. I am particularly interested in symbolic AI in general, notably argumentation frameworks and their semantics, along with their mathematical properties and their applications. I like to study how symbolic methods such as these can be used to supplement data-driven methods towards AI systems which can truly benefit society. Application areas of my research include: engineering, healthcare, opinion polling, e-learning, streaming platforms, Formula One race strategy and judgmental forecasting.
